Monday Must-Reads: Social Media Lists

For a while now, I’ve been a semi-regular contributor over at 12 Most. Each day, readers can find fresh content several times a day in many different topics, including business, media, lifestyle and more. The common thread is that each author creates a thoughtful list of the “12 Most” of whatever topic they’ve selected. I thought it was time to share some of the content over there and hopefully introduce you to some bloggers you may not know about yet. There are lots of us who like to write about social media, and here are some of the recent 12 Most posts you may have missed on the subject. Enjoy!

Why Social Media Matters: Real Connections

Steve Woodruff, aka The Connection Agent, as well as a former victim of my stalking, leads us through the 12 Most Significant Ways to Build a Deep Network. This post takes into account not only the WHAT of social media, but the WHY. Relationships are the wonderful lasting reward of investing in your network.

Follow the Best on Google+

Peggy Fitzpatrick creates a guide for the rest of us with her 12 Most Desirable People to Follow on Google+. She includes gems like Angel Oakley, Mack Collier and Sam Fiorella. If you don’t know these folks, you should. Peg lays out why we should care. Use it well.

Don’t Forget The Bloggers

The prolific and always insightful Ted Rubin makes a case with his 12 Most Significant Reasons I Love Bloggers and You Should Too post. The best part of this post is reminding us that social media is a bunch of platforms. Blogging is passion, dedication and education. Bloggers care so we can learn from them.

There is SO MUCH content over at 12 Most. Hope you’ll go check it out for yourselves!

What do you recommend to stay on top of the trends in social media? What blogs do you want us to discover?

Thanks Jeannie and Peg. I started out exploring and going strong, had to make sure I could teach it. I like Google +, but I'm not totally converted yet, still on periodic checkin. Looking for more people - perhaps if you'd join me on a hang out I'd appear more often ;)

Thanks for sharing Jeannie! I've been enjoying writing and reading Internet/business/socialmedia posts for 12most.com since it started. It's quite an ecclectic mix of bloggers and content.
